The Mindfulness Initiative has, in partnership with the Hart Knowe Trust, looked to innovations in mindfulness as a way of developing mindfulness practices and reaching audiences that perhaps have not been drawn to a tried-and-tested course. We have sought to promote good practice through our Awards Scheme, while supporting careful and considered development of new approaches through our Fieldbook for Mindfulness Innovators

Embarking on the path of mindfulness teaching is both a personal journey and a commitment to fostering inner-work and connection in others. To support educators at every stage, we are now excited to introduce a pilot course "Sharing Your Treasure", a comprehensive online workshop series designed to empower mindfulness teachers through innovative strategies and community engagement. The course will be led by Richard Edwards, Director of the Mindfulness Initiative, and Vin Harris, Founder of the Hart Knowe Trust. We are looking for a small cohort of participants for this course to help us refine this work leading to the publication of a new Sharing your Treasure Workbook.

Course Overview

This five-week pilot programme, based on a Mindfulness Innovation Mandala, offers interactive sessions that delve into essential aspects of mindfulness instruction:

  • Sharing Your Treasure: Clarify your vision, mission, and the impact you aspire to achieve as a mindfulness educator.
  • Connecting with Your Audience: Identify and effectively communicate with your intended participants, ensuring your teachings resonate deeply.
  • Altruistic Action: Develop sustainable programs that align with ethical mindfulness practices, assess required resources and integrate your vision.
  • Practical Implementation: Transform insights into actionable plans with the support of peers and experienced mentors.

Integration with the Innovations Fieldbook

A distinctive feature of this course is its presentation of a Mindfulness Innovation Mandala and its integration with the Fieldbook for Mindfulness Innovators. This resource serves as a practical guide, offering frameworks and insights to navigate the evolving landscape of mindfulness training. By incorporating principles from the Fieldbook and Mandala, participants will explore innovative approaches to teaching, ensuring their methods are both effective and sustainable.

Engagement with the Innovations in Mindfulness Community

Within and beyond the workshop, participants are encouraged to build peer support, engaging with the broader mindfulness community through the Innovations in Mindfulness Community. This platform offers opportunities to connect with fellow educators, share experiences, and contribute to ongoing discussions about advancing mindfulness practices. By participating in this vibrant community, you can stay informed about the latest developments, access valuable resources, and collaborate on initiatives that promote sharing mindfulness.
